History of Camp Red Cliffe

The Community of Christ's Intermountain District, which is now a part of the Inland West USA Mission Center, purchased Camp Red Cliffe facilities from the Girl Scouts in 1983. The sixteen acres of land is leased from the U. S. Forrest Service on a twenty year renewable lease agreement.

Since 1983, a large bath house, a chapel, fourteen cabins and four gazebos have been built on the property. The camp is used for Community of Christ camps and retreats and is also rented out to other religious and community groups.

Camp Red Cliffe is located approximately twenty miles east of Ogden, Utah on the South Fork of the Ogden River in the Wasatch Mountains. Because of its mountainous environment, the camp is mainly used during the months of May through August.
