Women’s Retreat

Filled with Joy:

Living a full life in the SPirit

What to bring:

  • Variety of comfortable clothes for both warm and cool weather- dress in layers
  • Comfortable shoes for walking
  • Light water-resistant jacket
  • Bedding- sleeping bag and pillow or sheets
  • Toiletries and towel, wash cloth
  • Yoga mat or foam sleeping pad and accessories for morning movement
  • Journal if this is part of your practice


What to expect:

  • Time to relax among the quiet pines
  • Add to your tool box for compassion and spirituality
  • Collaborate and share with a group of inspirational women
  • Explore how your skills can impact the world for good
  • Share in minimal chores to care for the grounds (ex: sweeping cabin and shared areas, dishes, keeping bathrooms clean)
  • Cabins will be shared with 1-3 other female roommates. If you have a preference of rooming with another woman attending, please mention this on your online registration.


 

Katie Harmon-McLaughlin is a minister and spiritual director who is passionate about seeking the Sacred Presence in all persons and life circumstances. She works for Community of Christ International Headquarters as Spiritual Formation Specialist, and was previously a full-time pastor for the Orange, CA Congregation. As Spiritual Formation Specialist, her responsibilities include directing the Spiritual Formation and Companioning Program, leading the Spiritual Formation Team, coordinating and editing the Daily Bread Blog, supporting various world church ministries, and facilitating spiritual formation retreats and trainings. She is passionate about companioning and spiritually forming individuals, families, communities, and leaders. She received her Master of Arts in Religion through Community of Christ Seminary and was trained in Spiritual Direction and Leadership through Pneuma Institute. She is continually formed and companioned by Zac (spouse), Emma (daughter) and Maya (the dog!).
